Home and Away follows the lives and loves of the residents in Summer Bay, a fictional seaside town in New South Wales. Home and Away (often abbreviated as H&A) is an Australian television soap opera. It was created by Alan Bateman and commenced broadcast on the Seven Network on 17 January 1988.
In the beginning, the soap concentrated on the Fletcher family who bought a caravan park and fostered children, who brought with them a variety of dramas and storylines. Home and Away is set in the fictional town of Summer Bay, a coastal town in New South Wales, and follows the personal and professional lives of the people living in the area. The show initially focused on the Fletcher family, Pippa and Tom Fletcher and their five foster children Frank Morgan, Carly Morris, Steven Matheson, Lynn Davenport and Sally Keating, who would go on to become one of the show's longest-running characters. The show also originally and currently focuses on the Stewart family. During the early 2000s, the central storylines focused on the Sutherlands and later, the Hunters. Home and Away had proved popular when it premiered in 1988 and had risen to become a hit in Australia, and after only a few weeks, the show tackled its first major and disturbing storyline, the rape of Carly Morris; it was one of the first shows to feature such storylines during the early timeslot. H&A has tackled many adult-themed and controversial storylines; something rarely found in its restricted timeslot.

Bateman came up with the concept of the show during a trip to Kangaroo Point, New South Wales, where he noticed locals were complaining about the construction of a foster home and against the idea of foster children from the city living in the area. During the first season alone, it featured several adult-themed storylines such as teen pregnancy, rape, drug and alcohol addiction, drug overdose and attempted suicide. The series has dealt with similar storylines over the years which have often exceeded its restricted time slot. The idea for Home and Away came about when Alan Bateman, Network Seven’s head of drama was on a family outing. They stopped in Kangaroo Point, which is in New South Wales and got talking with some local people who were angry about the building of a children’s home in their area. Seeing the level of conflict this situation was causing gave Bateman the inspiration to develop it as a soap opera idea.
Rescue me is an amazing serial and one of my favorite. You tube has so pokemon stuff on there I don't know if they are full episodes are not but they are funny... I can't watch home and away, cause it won't connect.
